In 1958 the east wing of the Desandrouins Hospital area was requisitioned by TASCOM Headquarters to accommodate the American dependents of high school age in this vicinity. Previously, students had to reside in a seven day dorm at Kaiserslautern in order to fulfill their high school education. Finally Verdun High School opened its doors on September 3, 1958. Verdun High School closed in 1968.

This WEB site is for all that attended Verdun American High School including graduates, students and staff.  Over 1600 students attended VAHS during the 9 years it was open.  Today we have located just over 500 former students and staff.   Check our "Mail List" and see how many of your friends are there.   Have you had contact with anyone that is not on the list.  Let us know and help us find them.  We need help in locating others as well.  Can you help plan the next reunion?  Do you have pictures we could use on this site?  Could you help or even do a newsletter?
